As an ARRI Film School, Swinburne gives you access to professional filmmaking technology trusted by the global screen industry. Develop industry-ready skills across cutting-edge digital production and traditional 16mm filmmaking, while exploring directing, cinematography, editing, sound, producing and production design. You’ll collaborate on increasingly complex productions, from music videos and 90-second films to a final-year short, graduating with a strong portfolio of work. Learn from practising industry professionals and gain exposure to production companies, festival showcases and industry guest speakers. As one of Australia’s longest-running film schools, Swinburne offers a rich filmmaking environment supported by professional-grade ARRI cameras and technology. Course structure: Successful completion of the Bachelor of Film and Television (Honours) requires students to complete units of study to the value of 400 credit points. All units of study are valued at 12.5 credit points unless otherwise stated.
Swinburne's Work Integrated Learning program provides students with opportunities to gain invaluable skills and confidence in knowing that they have what it takes to land a job in their field by graduation. Students can also earn credit towards their degree. Choose from 6- or 12-month professional placements, professional internships, industry-linked projects, industry study tours and accreditation placements. Note: Some Work Integrated Learning opportunities are not available to international students due to visa restrictions.
