Course Details

Build on your successes in the Bachelor of Science by completing Honours to enhance essential employability skills or take your first step to a career in research, academia and beyond. You'll conduct your own research project under the mentorship of La Trobe's expert researchers, building on the knowledge and accomplishments obtained in your Bachelor's degree, and gaining exposure to cutting-edge techniques and scientific advances. Honours in science gives you the opportunity to specialise in the following disciplines: animal physiology and health agriculture biochemistry and cell biology chemistry computer science environment and genetics human anatomy, physiology and pharmacology mathematics microbiology physics science education statistics Projects are available at the Melbourne Bundoora campus and at external research institutes such as the Baker Institute and Olivia Newton-John Cancer Research Institute.

Course structure: To qualify for the award of Bachelor of Science (Honours), students must complete 120 credit points consisting of: 120 credit point Honours Major
