Summary

This one year training program includes two qualifications which are taught
concurrently. This ensures the course content provides an appropriate mix of
both practical and theory based training.
The course content includes a wide range of agricultural training with the key
focus areas being dryland broadacre cropping, sheep and beef cattle production.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, it is highly recommended
that graduates continue into the Advanced Diploma of Agriculture (AHC60316)
course to further enhance career opportunities.
Course Structure
A total of 16 units made up of two (2) core units and fourteen (14) elective units
must be completed and deemed competent to gain the qualification Certificate III
in Agriculture.

Assessment methods may vary for each competency, but will include one or more
of the following:
• Third party report (written)
• Question and answer
• Demonstration/observation
• Written activities
• Test (oral, written or practical)

  • Enthusiasm and previous agricultural experience are advantages
