Entry criteria

Students entering this qualification must have satisfactorily completed Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent Australian qualification.

At enrolment, all students must complete a literacy and numeracy test to ensure the appropriate level of skills for the best chance of successful completion of the course.

This program is subsidised by the government and eligible students can apply for Skills First Program under the VET Funding Contract as an Apprentice

Academic requirements

International Students wanting to study at CAC – Central Australian College must have satisfactorily completed year 12 or equivalent or relevant and sufficient work experience.

English Language Requirement

In order to be eligible for admission to the Institute course, international students must satisfy their proficiency in English as per the following minimum requirements or equivalent

IELTS - 5.5; TOEFL (Paper Based Test) – 527; TOEFL (Internet Based Test CBT) – 46; Cambridge English: Advanced (Certificate in Advanced English) – 162; Pearson Test of English Academic - 42; Occupational English Test: Pass.

Age Requirement

All international students must be at least 18 years of age or above to study at CAC – Central Australian College.
