Course Delivery

At CAC courses are delivered for 20 hours per week over 3 days in the classroom, a training workshop and simulated workplace environment. The breakdown of 20 hours is 16 hours over 2 days per week is face-to-face and 4 hours over one day per week is self- pace learning. All classes will be delivered at the main campus in 8 Cross street, West Footscray, VIC 3012.

Entry criteria

Satisfactorily completed the equivalent Australian year 12

Those undertaking the Diploma of Automotive Technology must have completed an Automotive Certificate IV qualification in one of the following disciplines, or be able to demonstrate equivalent competency.

  • AUR40216 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis
  • AUR40816 Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Overhauling

18 years or older

IELTS 5.5 or higher; or completion of any equivalent ELICOS program

TOEFL (Paper Based Test) – 527; TOEFL (Internet Based Test CBT) – 46; Cambridge English: Advanced (Certificate in Advanced English) – 162; Pearson Test of English Academic - 42; Occupational English Test: Pass.
