Summary

This qualification reflects the role of individuals working as marketing directors, marketing strategists and national, regional or global marketing managers. Individuals in these positions provide leadership and strategic direction in the marketing activities of an organization. They analyze, design and execute judgments using wide-ranging technical, creative, conceptual and managerial competencies. Their knowledge base may be highly specialized or broad within the marketing field. These individuals are often accountable for group outcomes and for the overall performance of the marketing function of an organization.

Assessment

Exit Point/Award

This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF). Students that complete some but not all of the units of competency as stated in the Course Content and Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment. It will identify only those units of competence that have been completed as part of the qualification and recognised nationally under the AQF.

Entry criteria

Entry into BSB61315 Advanced Diploma of Marketing and Communication is limited to those individuals who have completed all core units in BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication. In addition to meeting the above entry requirements, international students must be 18 years of age or above and provide evidence of the following published entry requirements as stated below:

Entry to this qualification is limited to those individuals who have completed all core units in BSB52415 Diploma of Marketing and Communication.

English Requirements

  • IELTS score 5.5 minimum (no lower than 5.0 in each band); or equivalent
  • Cambridge Exam - B1 (PET) or higher
  • ELSIS Online Placement test - Upper – Intermediate or higher
  • ELSIS courses - General English 12 weeks of Intermediate level or higher Completion of EAP 1 Completion of Cambridge course B1(PET)
  • External - Upper Intermediate Level Certificate
