Nationally recognised, CHC30113 Certificate III In Early Childhood Education and Care is the minimum required to become an educator of 0 to 5-year old children within Australia.

The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care at ZOI Education is completed over a 12 months period attending weekly theoretical classes in our modern and custom designed Parkville campus training facility. Our holistic approach to learning is underpinned by our student work place program where students complete 250+ hours a year of on-the-job mentoring at a child care centre in Melbourne which has been pre-arranged by ZOI Education.

The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education requires the completion of 18 units including 15 core and 3 elective units which ZOI Education has selected.

What Can I Do Upon Graduation?

After graduation from the Certificate III in Early Childhood Education at ZOI Education you will be qualified to work as the following:

• Early Childhood educator
• Family day care
• Nanny
• Out-of-school hours care assistant
• Recreation assistant

In addition, upon completion of the Certificate III of Early Childhood Education and Care you may decide to study a further year at ZOI Education and receive the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.

Credit Transfers & Higher Education

Students who complete the Certificate III In Early Childhood Education And Care may go onto enrol into the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Students who enrol into the Diploma after completing the Certificate III with ZOI Education will receive 18 unit credits into the Diploma. Alternatively, students may enrol directly into the Diploma without completing the Certificate III.

Students may also go on to study other related higher level qualifications such as:

• CHC52015 Diploma of Community Services
• A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education and Care (or similar e.g. Community Services)
