The Master of Information Systems provides you the opportunity to extend your knowledge and skills in information technology, with a focus on business analysis skills at a professional level. This course focuses on particular aspects of technology, management and organisations.
This course develops your capacity to manage the functional responsibility for choosing, implementing and maintaining information systems within an organisation in any industry.
All units have been aligned to the Australian Computer Society (ACS) core body of knowledge.
COURSE STRUCTURE
You are required to complete 15 units, comprising of 11 core units and four electives. As part of your core units, you will be required to complete either an internship or capstone stream. There are a variety of options available when selecting your electives. You may choose a four-unit minor in artificial intelligence, software design and development, mobile application development or networks and information security, or you may choose your four electives from a general elective list.

To gain entry to this course student must have:
A bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college; or a CQUniversity Graduate Certificate in Information Systems, or equivalent.
English requirements
An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) overall band score of at least 6.0 with a minimum 5.5 in each subset; or
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - Requires 550 or better overall and minimum TWE score of 4.5 (Paper Based Test), or 75 or better overall and no score less than 17 (Internet Bassd Test); or
Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) - Requires an overall score of 54 with no sub-score less than 46; or
An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components.
