It emphasises the application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed for the effective management of events. In this major, you'll learn the skills you need to deliver successful events and be ready to find innovative solutions to any challenge. Plus, you'll have a foundation in business - so you'll be a flexible, multiskilled graduate. This multidisciplinary study provides you a solid grounding in business and specialist expertise in event management and marketing. In this major you'll develop a highly sought-after skillset that prepares you for the evolving events space – with specialised professional studies related to the management and delivery of special events such as volunteer management, arts and community festivals, meetings, conferences and tradeshows as well as the opportunity to plan, deliver and evaluate student led events.
