Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Honours) intended learning outcomes: Apply the principles and technical knowledge of engineering and use the current tools and techniques to solve engineering problems in building and civil infrastructure design and construction; Use mathematical tools and techniques to achieve appropriate solutions to civil engineering problems; Critically investigate a problem for the purpose of formulating and evaluating an appropriate, effective engineering solutions; Evaluate information to review, assess and suggest improvements to plans, designs and processes; Demonstrate an awareness of social, cultural and environmental issues when solving engineering problems and abide by the professional and ethical requirements mandated by Engineers Australia; Communicate technical information orally, in writing and/or by drawings to both technical and non-technical audiences clearly and concisely; Collaborate and contribute effectively as both a team leader and a team member to achieve team goals; Develop and test novel, logical solutions for problems and risks relevant to civil engineering
