There is no doubt that studying business in today's ever-changing, globally-connected and technologically-charged world is an exciting prospect. But the pace of change can be a little intimidating; how do you prepare for a future that is dynamic, constantly evolving? You invest in yourself. Follow your passions, develop your capabilities and curate an open mind to see the opportunities through the background noise.

With a choice of 15 majors, 35 minors and a focus on your professional development, the Bachelor of Business Professional Practice gives you the freedom to find, and then follow, the path that you are most passionate about.

Maybe you are an entrepreneur, with a knack for finding opportunities.

Perhaps you're a master of relationship building, connecting with people all over the world.

You might have a flair for innovation, with the ability and knowledge to influence organisations' direction and adoption of cyber, blockchain or digital technologies.

Or maybe you are passionate about social impact and would like to forge a career in sustainability and equity within industry. With so many possible outcomes from your business studies, the opportunities to make your mark are as individual as you are.

Design your degree, choose your own career path

At RMIT we know that you don't want to be limited by a rigid Business degree or locked in to a path before you really know who you want to be. You want to be able to explore your options and set your own future.

The Bachelor of Business Professional Practice gives you access to all of the options in the (3-year) Bachelor of Business with the added benefit of a dedicated minor (in Study and Work) and professional experiences with industry partners, research centres, start-up support networks and/or the not-for-profit sector, depending on your choices.

You will start your professional experience with our award-winning virtual internship, which includes direct industry contacts and students solving industry challenges as consultants. You will then have the option to choose a range of professional experiences alongside your major/minor studies as you explore your own experiential learning journey.

The ability to determine which combination of disciplines you will study from our range of majors, minors and cross-College offerings makes this degree uniquely flexible and completely responsive to the ever-changing business landscape. The one constant that remains at the centre of our global future is you.

This degree allows you to develop yourself, to grow your professional identity and prepare a foundation of capabilities that will take you wherever your future leads. It allows you to focus on developing the personal and professional capabilities that industry seeks, such as a global mindset, a commitment to social impact, digital agility, critical thinking and the ability to cut through the noise and focus on what matters, the Bachelor of Business Professional Practice allows you to do more than respond to the future, it allows you to create your own.

As a graduate of the Bachelor of Business Professional Practice, you will have the skills and knowledge for employment in large corporations, government, small to medium enterprise and small business, not for profit organisations to lead change in response to the developing nature of the economy and its effect on business activity, decision making and investment.

Depending on the majors, minors and elective subjects you choose, you will be able to pursue roles in accounting, economics, financial planning and analysis, law, marketing and digital marketing, UX, EX and CX, logistics, business behaviour, public relations, ethical sourcing and procurement, data analysis and management, human resources and more.
