Throughout the course, you will build practical networking skills in Holmesglen's network laboratories and have 24 hr access to the industry standard networking technologies via Holmesglen's NETLAB.

This course also recognises a network technician needs to build a broad base of understanding in other areas as well to support the sophisticated technologies used to support modern business practices. As such you will study network design, server management, virtualisation, operating systems, cyber security and network security.

Experienced and expert teachers, will guide you through the program in a practical environment using the latest industry vendor programs including Cisco, VMware, Palo Alto and Microsoft.

Entry criteria

The language, literacy and numeracy levels required for the International learners enrolling in this program are:

VCE or equivalent, mature age (at least 18 years and above) with English language proficiency of IELTS 5.5 (Academic).

Prior to enrolment or commencement of training you will be required to complete a literacy and numeracy assessment and a pre-training interview. These will assist with determining your suitability to the course, verify your training plan, and identify any learning support needs. Learners digital and computer skills are confirmed during the interview.
