The UniLink Bridging Program (Business) helps students prepare for and meet the entry requirements of the Diploma of Business (UniLink).
You’ll develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to communicate at a university level, particularly on business topics.
In this course, you’ll gain the early fundamental skills for business including in areas such as marketing, IT, accounting, communication and economics.
If you continue onto further tertiary study, a broader range of business study opportunities will open up from human resources and international business to public relations, tourism and project management.
The UniLink Bridging Program (Business) helps students to meet the entry requirements to progress to a UniLink diploma. The topics covered seek to blend a range of key skills and knowledge required to solve problems and develop flexible and analytical thinking to meet current and projected industry needs. Students who complete the program may pathway into the Diploma of Business (UniLink) with no academic credit.
Students must complete five core units in total over one teaching period. Assessment may include a range of formal and informal tasks, including individual and group projects, assignments, presentations and examinations.

This program enables students to gain the initial skills toward business areas such as accounting, economics, communication, IT and marketing. Further tertiary studies in business specialisations will open up a range of career opportunities in accounting, finance, human resources, international business, management, marketing, project management, public relations, software development, systems analysis or tourism. Graduates may also like to launch their own business.
Aims and objectives
The UniLink Bridging Program (Business) aims to equip students with the knowledge, skills and capabilities required to meet the entry requirements to progress to a UniLink diploma. The program is designed for international students whose primary language is not English and who have completed an Australian Year 12 equivalent but have not met the ATAR or grade required to enter the UniLink course.

Successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or its equivalent, such as an interstate or international Year 12 qualification.
VCE prerequisites: Units 3 and 4 – a minimum study score of 20 in any English or English as an Additional Language (EAL).
English language requirements
Satisfactory completion of one of the following:
Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 4 Upper Intermediate level) with overall 65%, all skills 60%
minimum IELTS overall band of 5.5 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 5.0
TOEFL iBT (internet-based) 50 (no less than 5 in reading, 5 in listening, 14 in speaking, 15 in writing)
