Founded in 1895, St Michael’s Grammar School is a Kindergarten to Year 12 independent co-educational school in Victoria. At the Early Learning stage, the curriculum is committed to inquiry-focused learning. From Prep to Year 6, students concentrate on developing literacy and numeracy skills with subjects including English, Maths, Transdisciplinary Learning and Information Communication and Learning Technologies (ICT). From Years 7 to 12, students focus on optional subjects that then advance to the VCE program. Assessments and feedback form an important part of the St Michael’s curriculum. Co-curricular programs include the Performing Arts, Outdoor Education, Chess and Sailing. In 2016, 52% of students received an ATAR of 80 or more and 34% of students received an ATAR of 90 or more.
